We’re such slow learners… Read the rest of this entry » A-wallfitness & nutrition General System Cleanse-Take a multi-vitamin/antioxidant -Drink 96oz of water a day Half of this can be substituted with herbal tea -Eat at least 3 meals and 2 snacks a day -Make sure you get at least 25 grams of fiber a day Vegetables, Soy – eat all you want only limit potatoes, corn to no more than 1 fist size serving a day and soy to 2 servings. Make sure if you are having soy product that there is little to no sugar in them. Fruit – all fruit is ok, up to 4 servings a day. Berries and melon are lowest in sugar if you are trying to break sugar cravings. Meat – all lean meat up to 3 palm size servings a day. No processed meats, shellfish, limit tuna to 3 times a week. Nuts, Beans – up to 1 serving nuts and or 2 servings beans. Raw nuts and fresh or canned beans are ok with no added seasonings on them. They can replace up to 2 meats a day if you prefer. Nuts will give you most of your daily fats as well. Fats, Oils – up to 2 tablespoons oil or 1 serving butter. Olive or other natural oil, small amount of real butter is ok. Make sure that they do not contain hydrogenated oil. Beverages – water, tea (all is ok), decaf coffee (limit to 1 cup), broth (no added sugar or salt). Seasonings, Sweetener – all seasonings not containing salt, sugar, nitrates, msg or hydrogenated oil are ok; stevia for Sweetener. While trying to detox stay away from bread and grains as well as dairy. Once you have got your system straight then add them back in slowly. It should only take a week or two to detox your system.
